I am a teacher.  I always have been and always will be.

Whether it was "teaching" stuffed animals while in grade school, tutoring my peers throughout the course of my own education, teaching at an elementary school for several years, or helping my own young children learn - I have always found my place as a teacher.

I'm currently a stay at home mom, but the classroom teacher inside of me still craves the excitement of putting together creative lesson plans.  My son loves reading books and now that he's old enough for some more structured play, I have decided to incorporate some activities into our daily play times that go along with the stories we read together.

This blog was created to document our adventures, as well as serve as a resource for others who are looking for creative ways to play with young children.
