There are four main ways you can find your way around this blog:
* Click on the Activities tab and look through the blog entries randomly
* Click on the Titles tab and look through the list of storybook titles that link to blog entries
* Click on the Works Cited tab to find a particular author with links to blog entries
* Look at the themes in the sidebar that link to blog entries
All books featured in this blog I checked out from the local library, so they should be easy to find. I tried to use children's classics, modern favorites, and award winning books, but some of them I chose because I knew my son would love them, or because they fit with a particular theme. Either way, I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
Each blog entry includes a couple of activities that go along with a specific book. All of the activities can be scaled up or down depending on the age and interest level of the children, and the time and resources available to you. Some of the activities are used multiple times with different books, but if it's fun - why not?
Imagination is powerful, so even if you don't have the supplies or equipment I used, you can "pretend" to do a lot of the activities and still have a lot of fun! For a list of basic items I keep on hand, check out my Supply list.
In addition to the activities I've described in the blog posts, keep in mind that you can always act out or draw pictures of favorite parts of any storybook.
Please feel free to comment on any of the blog posts with suggestions for how to make the activities better, or with suggestions for additional activities! Also, I'd love to see pictures of your Littles enjoying these activities, too - so feel free to post those as well!
