"Big Green Monster has two big yellow eyes..."
Make a monster that slowly shows its face! I used a clear crayon from an old easter egg dye kit (but a white one would work the same) to draw a monster face on a white piece of paper. As you paint over the paper with watercolor paints, the face will begin to appear! My son was a little confused by this activity, and is not very patient, so he told me which colors to use, and I painted over the face bit by bit until the monster "revealed" itself. Magic!
"...You don't scare me!
So Go away, scraggly purple hair!"
Draw some monsters that you can make disappear! My son had an easier time with this one - We drew monster faces on a dry erase board and then erased them part by part until they were completely gone! We used Q-tips for erasers so we could be more precise with which parts we were saying "good-bye" to.
