Play Tug-of-War and try to pull up a turnip! I got a green scarf out and gave my son one end of it to hold on to. I held onto the other end and crouched in a ball on the floor. My son thought it was hilarious to try to pull me up like a turnip! Then he got to be the turnip next!
"What would turnip stew be without corn bread?"
Make some turnip stew! I found a simple recipe online, and my son helped me chop up the vegetables, cook the stew, and mix up some cornbread to go with it. We had the stew for lunch and I was surprised that my son actually enjoyed it!
