White Snow, Bright Snow

"But the children laughed and danced, trying to catch the lacy snowflakes on their tongues."

Let it snow!  This is the kind of activity that requires vacuuming before and after... but it was worth it!  I wanted to create a snow storm that we could try to catch on our tongues, so I popped some popcorn and then we released the blizzard!

"And the children watched for the first robin to tell them Spring had really come."

Go bird watching!  Now that the weather is warming up, we have a lot of birds coming to visit and it's fun to watch them out the window.  To make it a little more interesting, we made some toilet paper tube binoculars.  We took two empty tubes, covered them with black construction paper, and taped them together.  Then, I punched holes in each side and threaded a shoelace through them to make a neck strap.  Bring on the robins and cardinals!
