Billy's Beetle

"'Have you seen my beetle?'  he asked the girl.  But she hadn't."

Hunt for beetles or caterpillars!  If you scratch around in the grass, or roll over some big rocks or logs, you're bound to find a beetle or two.  They may be just the small, shiny black kind, but even those can be fascinating to watch.  You may even be lucky to find a ladybug or other special, colorful beetle!

"'But where is Billy?'  said the girl. ... They looked up.  They looked down.  They looked behind, in front, and in between.  But Billy had disappeared."

Play Hide & Seek!  Even if you're just playing with one Little, you can still have fun with this game - it seems all kids love when you try to find them!  My son particularly is fond of hiding behind the shower curtain - his tap dancing feet poking out the bottom are hard to miss though!
