Maria had a Little Llama

"Maria had a little llama whose fleece was white as snow."

Make a fluffy llama!  I cut out a llama shape out of a piece of white mat board and taped a long string of fuzzy white yarn to its back.  Then, I showed my son how to wrap the yarn around the llama's neck and body.  When he was done wrapping, I tucked the end of the yarn under the other wrapped yarn.  The plan was for my son to draw its face and hooves with a crayon, but he wasn't interested in that.  That little llama followed my son around all day... but her fleece didn't stay as white as snow for long!

"And everywhere that Maria went, the llama was sure to go."

Play follow the leader!  Take turns being Maria and the llama and follow each other around doing silly things!  My son and I took this game outside and "shadowed" each other around the backyard!
